Gottfried Helnwein Response Pt 2
The new images show that the first one was not photoshopped and that it was an image of it being installed.
The image is a close up of a young girl's face, which seems to have very light makeup on or white paint. I think that the size/scale of the image deepens the effect it has on the viewer. The image was spliced together on the building.
It looks as if the image is located in an industrial area. I'm not quite sure who would see it in this location, maybe workers. I think Helnwein's intended audience was everyone.
The image is very somber. The girl has a very melancholy look on her face. I am unsure of what the title "The Last Girl" means.
